Report Cards!

Well kiddos, let's be honest. Writing report cards are never easy or quick to do. They take time. A lot of time. However, they are more fun when I have such great students, like you! It's easy to brag and write good things, so keep up the good work! I'm proud of you all, and am so thankful for you. This Thanksgiving, when my family shares what we are all thankful for, I will share that I'm thankful to have you! I'm already dreading having to say good-bye in June! You're a GREAT class and I'm happy to write your report cards! :)
See you tomorrow!
Love,
Mrs. Martin

I'm thankful for having a great teacher like you Mrs. Martin, having a great family, and having a roof over my head because some people don't have a house you know!
The last things I'm thankful for are being on the M-Team and having great friends! M-Team Rocks!

Sorry you have to write so many report cards, but on the bright side, you get to bragg about us! It will be sad when we separate in the end of the year, but in our hearts, we will always be the M-Team!

Hi!
Report card grades are easy but their comments aren't. I can advise you to take notes on student behaviors while they're working. Just so you know, I am thankful for everything I have and I don't want much because I have seen many people who are less fortunate than me. I also want to add what I think is the answer to my question about wars. I was thinking at recess and I got part of an answer. I think that people are greedy for power and they just want more and more. They are not thankful for what they have and do not think of the less fortunate. They also don't have empathy and stop to think about what they are doing. As my mom says: the only way to solve problems is knowledge. I agree to that. All the people who wanted power were smart but they didn't learn that some things are harmful to others. They had school in those days but school was optional. (I learned that by reading the Little House series by Laura Ingalls Wilder.) Plus, even if they did go to school all they learned about was reading, writing, spelling, math, and science. They didn't teach behavior or kindness. By the way, my contacts feel wierd and I keep tryng to touch my "glasses" that aren't there. Tell Rudy to try contacts or at least wear his glasses. Also tell him that contacts can be pretty hard to put on and een harder to take off. I think I have said enough for now.
GO M-TEAM!!!!

Hi Mrs. Martin! I'm very sorry that you had to spend a perfectly good four-day weekend writing report cards instead of taking a vacation.I'm thankful to have a teacher that sacrifices her weekend to do things for us, I'm thankful to have a teacher who cares so much, I'm thankful for a teacher that reads and tells so many stories, I'm thankful that I have a family, food on the table, being able to go to school, and being able to enjoy life sometimes. I am most thankful for my friends, teachers, and my family because without them, I wouldn't be living happily in this world. There are so many things to be thankful for! I hope that when I leave Vejar, I will have much more things to be thankful for!

Oh, Mrs. Martin you did not have to say that!!! I do have to say that everyone in this class joined together as the M-team is great. Everyone has pulled their weight to get our jobs done, such as homework, or as you say how we sweat together , studying to get a A, and so much other things. We are truly a great team. Being like this IT IS easy to brag about each other!! But it is you that has made us like this having us be a great team, we have suffered I guess, angry, class meetings, punishments, and have had class presents... like Rudy. I wonder alot about Rudy, is he tall? Is he a fast runner, I have seen the pictures and heard him but I can not put them together!!!! Oh well, i just need to wait, but I don't want to!!!!!!! I want Rudy! Well, the things I am thankful for are...
#1) You of course! I have a few new friends in this class, some people I would talk to once in a while but now I play everyday with them. I also love your PERFECT posters. It reminds me of when I was in Mrs. H's class in 2ed grade. Like you.
#2) My family. You know the basics like my mom because... or my dad because... But I have done so many things with my Tias and Tios and cousins, I cant even name them all.
#3) Being fortunate enough to have a roof over my head. Like today when we made the placemats, I was trying to make a great message to make somebody happy.
#4) I can go on forever but my last thing is having things like my video games and so many books and things like that.
Sorry that you had to write all of those report cards and it is so sad that you had to miss a perfect four day weekend and a day with us. I miss you, are substitute was not very fun like the M-team queen.
I am also not looking forward to June but we have to do it sadly. I will miss Vejar Elemantary, I have been in this school since Kindergarten, well I guess I should move on. Bye! GO M TEAM !!!!!!!!!

Hi, Mrs. Martin! I am very sorry how long the report cards are doing, ahmm ahmm. A good advice is maybe to look at your list of homework, and see what students are not doing their homework. However, action speaks louder than words. If you don't do your homework, it is there fault not to do it. I am pretty happy with Daniel keeping up his determination and hard work to do his homework, although there isn't a lot. I'm glad I have a teacher that sacrifices her own time to do our report cards even though we don't like it. Oh, yeah, by the way, when is Rudy coming? I've been waiting so long for him to come. Tell him we have been good and been doing our homework. On Friday, while you were away, I thought that Mr. Jacobs was actually Rudy. When you said that Rudy doesn't like to wear contacts, I thought that he doesn't like to try something new. Well, Jessica told you about leaving Vejar Elementary. Well, first of all, I would, of course, miss Vejar a lot because of you. You made my life special in every way. You encourage us to do better, and you never give up on anything. Yet, I would be excited to leave Vejar because I would like to have an experience in having lots of homework, what I like, and to experience not having a recess to play. I would also play the violin in order to get at least the first chair and the second to make myself happy. Well, all this to say, I am thankful for the families we have and the tools to make life reliable. We should cherish the time we are together. Yet, the fire reaports are getting scarier and scarier. I wonder if the fire would come to us or not. If it happens aroung school time, what should we do? I know you will tell us right away. Thank you for creating us aanndd ttthhheee..........M TEAM!

Hi!
I forgot to mention that when I said I was thankful for everything I have, I mean it. Everything includes some things that nobody can imagine like enemies. I am thankful for having some of my enemies because fighting with them gives me negative inforcement. Plus, if they hurt me,(not physically, but mentally)I can be more prepared for the next time I fight because if my enemies hit me in my weak spot, I will strengthen that spot which will make me stronger the next time which will make me harder to fight the next time I fight. And of course I am thankful for every other normal thing like my teachers, my family, my friends, my kittens, and of course mother earth.
