Happy Memorial Day!

How is your Monday going? What have you done this weekend? Ru and I have worked on so many projects around the house, getting ready for Shmu. I'll take pictures and show you our work sometime this week. Today, we're going to Vejar to pack some things up and take them home. I think we'll stop at Yogurtland with my family!  Yum! :)

As you enjoy being home today, remember why we have the day off. We are supposed to remember those who have fought and died for our country. We also remember the sacrifices of all the family members who let their loved ones go off to war or be in the military.

I know you appreciate the little things you have in life and that makes me proud of you. Reading about Phillip losing his eyesight really helps remind us of all the things we can be thankful for, even though we can always find things we wish were different or better.

Hope you have a great day! I'm off to work!

HI
Happy Memorial Day! I slept until noon today. I agree with you about remembering the people who have sacrificed for the country we have today. Everyone wants more sometimes and don't appreciate what they have but thinking about everything people in the past have sacrificed-house, money, food, life- can really warm our hearts and it sometimes makes me so emotional that I cry. Some people who were fine just the way they were sacrificed all they had to give us our country. Everyone should be thankful

Hi, Mrs. Martin! Our substitute today was considered "good" but, I rather have Mr. Murray. Many people were absent at first, but then Aminah and Steven came in. We played a kickball game, odds vs. evens. I didn't really celebrate Memorial Day, and I really wanted to go to the Strawberry Festival, but life is like that.

Hi! This weekend, my softball team had four games! But it was pretty fun. Also, I went to the movies and saw Night at the Museum 2. It was really funny.

Hi Mrs. Martin! This weekend, I went to the movies and saw Star Trek and X-men Origins Wolferine. I was going to see Night of the Museum 2 but it was too late and I was getting sleepy. Anyway, I had a lot of fun. On Memorial Day I slept until noon and went on the computer and found stories about the hardships of American soldiers in the civil war. I read that it was hard for the soldiers to even stay warm and fight their never ending hunger. I am very thankful that I fon't have to fight a war and get frost-bitten or go hungry. I also agree with you about remembering the people who have sacrificed their lives for America. I need to study for the states and capitals test now. I hope I get a good grade on it! See you tomorrow!!
